The employee job satisfaction score, also known as an eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score), is an indicator that measures employee satisfaction and engagement within a company. It is based on a simple question asked to employees: “On a scale of 0 to 10, how much would you recommend this company as an employer to a friend or colleague?” Employees respond by giving a score of 0 to 10, where 0 means “not at all” and 10 means “extremely.”
The eNPS is calculated by classifying employee responses into three categories:
The employee job satisfaction score (eNPS) is then calculated by subtracting the percentage of detractors from the percentage of promoters. The result can vary from -100 (if all employees are detractors) to +100 (if all employees are promoters). A positive score generally indicates that the majority of employees are satisfied with their work, while a negative score suggests satisfaction issues within the company.
eNPS is used by many organizations as a key indicator of employee satisfaction and engagement. It allows businesses to track trends over time, identify problem areas, and take action to improve the employee experience, which can have a positive impact on staff retention, productivity, and the company's reputation as an employer.
