Flex Desk

A “flex desk” (also called “flexible desk” or “hot desk” in English) is a concept of flexible working in a shared office space. This is a type of office layout where employees don't have permanently assigned work locations. Instead, they can freely choose where to sit each day according to their needs.

In a flex desk environment, employees can generally reserve a temporary desk or workspace based on availability. This can be done by using online reservation systems or by arriving early in the morning to select a vacancy. This approach provides greater flexibility for employees and businesses, as it makes better use of available office space and encourages collaboration by allowing employees to sit next to different colleagues every day.

Flex desk workspaces have become increasingly popular in modern work environments, especially in coworking spaces, tech companies, and businesses that encourage partial remote work. This allows employees to work more agile, adapt to the changing needs of their work, and promote a flexible work culture.
